We finally got our car out of the shop on monday. It was so nice to have a car again, the work will pick up and we can drive to lessons now! What a blessing. So monday we had a swell time driving around, and on tuesday morning we went outside to get some stuff out of our car. We saw that behind us there was a car parked real weird, it almost looked like it was run into ours. We looked around back and saw that the car was, in fact, pressed up against ours and the back of their car was totally destroyed. After reading the paper that the police left and listening to the owner of one of the other damaged cars screaming into her phone for a while, we found out that in the middle of the night, some maniac in a stolen truck had deliberately ran into the car behind us and ran off into the woods. Fortunately, the damage to our car was only cosmetic and we can still drive it. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing, even when that unhallowed hand is at the wheel of a stolen truck.
We had two district councils to go to, and they went well.
Also, the other day we found a lady who at first told us she had a church she went to and started closing the door. But we kept talking to her and asking questions about her and as we worked our way into the restoration, she gradually came out onto the porch and she really listened to us. When we told her about the first vision she immediately said "I love that!" and then told us that they actually hadn't been to church in a while and that they were looking for a new one and that they would be interested in baptism for her whole family. Wowza, the spirit works on people in incredible ways.
Also we had stake conference, this week, and while we sang the hymns I felt the spirit crazy strong, I was just filled with it. I know with a surety that this is Jesus Christ's church and that he lives. I love being able to share that knowledge with the people of the midwest.
After stake conference, we went to a member's house for lunch and I befriended Hokoke, their hedgehog. What a cutie. But that friendship quickly ended when he decided to pee all over my suit pants, that little punk
I love you all a ton!
