On tuesday, my companion went to the temple with all the people going home, so I was stranded on exchanges in Iowa City. We did a lot of finding and had some trashy soup for dinner but it was a good time.
We spent the rest of the week finding in out own area as well, which was awesome and we were able to find a lot of new people to teach. I've come to really love knocking on people's doors and talking to them in the street. I love the message we share and I love telling everyone about it.
On friday, we went out with a member of our ward who just returned from his mission in Seoul, Korea. We tried by some people and they weren't home but ultimately we tried by this one spanish lady who was being a little flaky. Surprisingly, she opened her door to us and her husband invited us in. I got to teach the family the restoration in spanish, which was cool because I got to do it all alone. It was awesome, and when I got to the first vision the whole house seemed a lot more quiet and we all felt the spirit for sure. My companion and the member told me afterwards that they definitely felt it. I love that the spirit testifies between languages like that, it was incredible. Now we have a cool spanish family to teach! Hopefully that means mexican food in the future...
I love the gospel! I know that Jesus Christ lives and guides this church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I invite you to read it every day. It will change your life
I love you all!
