This week was not the most interesting week I've ever had. We have been doing a whole lot of finding to try and build up the teaching pool, because all the people we have are swerving us. As we were knocking this one street, we walked past this lady who was sitting outside an old church having a yard sale. We waved to her and she came up to us and started mumbling about how "they were coming from behind" and other scary things, and then she pulled a wadded up piece of paper from her fanny pack and showed us a police report thing about a car accident where she had been rear ended by a truck. She said that there was some secret organization that was out to kill her because she had diverted a tornado around a grocery store, and that they tried to get her from behind with a truck. As we were talking with her she motioned to a black jeep across the street in a mexican restaurant parking lot and explained that it wasn't a normal car, but it was a member of another secret organization that was trying to protect her. After a bit more explanation, she told us that she was moving out of the old church because "they found her", and she tried to get us to buy the building. Apparently, Ebola & Asian Bird flu had been cured in that old church. This kind of stuff happens a lot in this mission, but one thing that I've never experienced in a situation like this was that she acknowledged that we were sent from God. She basically testified to us that we were teaching truth to people and making the world a better place. She was a really nice lady. If any of you ever meet Patron Saint Debby of the United States of America, give her my best.
Yesterday after church we decided to go finding. As we were walking, we saw a car full of people roll up to the curb and one of the kids started to get out but they yelled at her from inside to get back in the car and hide from us haha, so we knocked on their house and then decided to walk up to the car and talk to them. As it turns out, they thought we were someone else but we taught them the restoration and they committed to come to church next week and they seem super interested. I have a strong testimony that things like that don't happen on accident.
God has a plan for us, and I'm so glad i've been able to serve him for these 13 months and im looking forward to another year of it. I know this church is true and I know that God loves us
Have a great week! I love you all!
